Clients should be one of your first sources of inspiration when sitting down to draft your blog. A well-written, informative article can show potential clients that you know what you’re talking about when it comes to treatments – and are their best choice.
Your want your clients to read about a treatment and think “I want that!”
Think about the common or recurring questions clients ask you. Chances are, it’s probably not just your clients who want to know how to keep their hair in tip-top shape over the summer months. There are probably tons of people searching for those answers online!
Your blog could discuss salon news, the latest trends that you have on offer, or at-home haircare tips. Remind your clients why they choose you: because you’re good at what you do and you’re passionate about what you do.
Grow your list of new clients
Writing content helps you get found more easily on Google. For instance, if you write about gel nails and mention your location (i.e, Gel Nails, Melbourne), Google will be more likely to return that blog when someone is searching for a service of this kind. And chances are, if a person who is searching for gel nails in Melbourne has two choices, they’re going to be more likely to trust the salon that wrote an entire blog on gel nails!
These people have been driven to your site through your blog post. Every time you post a blog, that is one more page linked back to your website… meaning one more opportunity for your website to show up in search engines! We’ll get to Search Engine Optimisation later in the series, but consistent blogging acts as a cue to Google that your site is active. And the more active your site is, the more they’ll suggest it as a top-notch search result.
Fill out your social media pages
When spas and salons produce engaging, informative and interesting content, they’re more likely to gather more followers on their social media pages. A blog that addresses real life questions and issues will build a community of like-minded individuals who are seeking these answers – or who simply enjoy your insight.
